About Portsmouth and District Model Power Boat Club

We are one of the oldest clubs in Great Britain, P.D.M.P.B.C. was formed way back in 1909 and originally was called The Model Steam Boat Club. A fire engine filling our pool for one of many events held over the years

The club has seen many changes through the years, amalgamating with the Model Yacht Club and later with the Model Engineers until finally becoming the club it is today.

We have all aspects of model boating from yachts, electrics, IC to steam.

The club running days at Canoe Lake, Southsea are Friday evenings and Sunday mornings in the summer if not attending shows (check events calender), and sunday mornings only in the winter months. We also meet at 7:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month at Baffins Community Centre, Westover Road, Copnor.

Club running days in the winter are Sunday mornings from 10am and Friday evenings in summer months.
